What is a Cubic Calculator?

Dimensional Weight, also known as Volume Weight, is the estimated weight that is calculated from the dimensions of a package, i.e. the length, width and height. This weight calculates the minimum chargeable weight of any package based on its particular size.

At GSA Freight Logistics, we find that the denser the objects being shipped, the more favourable the dimensional weight. Many people who ship using smaller and more compact boxes avoid larger dimensional weight charges. This is done by compressing their goods, and thus reducing the use of packing materials.
